A pretty typical comment and very acceptable. But it's arrogant and shallow and so very wrong . . . the expectation of us as parents "deserving" a healthy child is bred into us. We just assume we'll be given a healthy child.
So when God blesses us with a child with disabilities we may get angry. We may ask, "Why me?"
Being a parent of a child with disabilities is a role you may feel unprepared for. This book will help you see that this new journey is a joyful one.
Though this book was written for parents, it is a valuable tool for educators, physicians, therapists, anyone who works with children with disabilities. These children have something to teach you . . . if you''ll listen.
